A Prioritized Research Agenda for Suicide Prevention: An Action Plan to Save Lives

Released by the Research Prioritization Task Force of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, this report outlines the research areas that show the most promise in helping to reduce the rates of suicide attempts and deaths. Because overall suicide rates have not declined, the task force set itself the goal of identifying research that would best contribute to the reduction of suicides by 20 percent in 5 years and 40 percent in 10 years if multiple approaches were optimally and fully implemented.
