Apollo M. Nkwake is a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) technical advisor at EDC. He oversees evaluation and learning for education and youth projects in Liberia and Uganda. Previously, he was an associate research professor for M&E at The George Washington University and Tulane University.

Nkwake has authored six books, including Credibility, Validity, and Assumptions in Program Evaluation Methodology (English and French) and Working with Assumptions in International Development Program Evaluation (English and French). He has also written various journal papers and book chapters and edited several special journal volumes.

Nkwake holds a PhD in Social Development from the University of Cape Town and a Canadian Evaluation Society’s Credentialed Evaluator designation. He was the 2017 recipient of the American Evaluation Association’s Marcia Guttentag Promising New Evaluator Award.
