Nalini Bajaj Chugani is an international technical advisor with over 15 years of international development experience. Her expertise is in youth workforce development; education and training; local capacity building; resilience strengthening; and gender integration across Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
 
Chugani designs and implements international programs, including EDC’s Work Ready Now (WRN), equipping in-school and out-of-school youth with work readiness, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement skills. She also develops and adapts WRN curricula for various cultural contexts, as well as leads training-of-trainer workshops to implement the curriculum.
 
Committed to gender equity, Chugani is a founding member of EDC’s Gender Working Group, serves on gender analysis teams, and provides technical guidance to integrate gender across EDC’s international projects. She has managed youth and workforce development training programs in South Asia focused on providing work opportunities for women as well as men, while also raising community awareness about education and livelihood opportunities for girls.
 
Chugani holds an MA in International Development from Kobe University’s Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies in Japan and a BA from Brandeis University.
