Jessica Miranda, Vice President and Managing Director of Program Area Operations, is a highly experienced nonprofit leader and organizational improvement expert. For 28 years, she has led and advanced EDC initiatives focused on operational policy and procedures, organizational structure, administrative systems, human resources, financial systems, business analytics, and technology. She brings extensive expertise in business development, donor compliance, and program support systems.

Jessica oversees policy alignment and implementation across the Program Area and with other EDC areas. Working closely with all departments, she provides strategic support to ensure effective daily and long-term operations. As a member of the Program Leadership Team, she co-develops new organizational systems and supports and co-leads the development and refinement of effective staffing processes.

Previously, Jessica oversaw International Operations and held primary responsibility and oversight for the administration, field operations, procurement, and management of EDC’s office in Washington, DC. In this capacity, she supported every stage of projects’ lifecycles, ensuring smooth operations for projects around the world.

Jessica holds an MA in Spanish Studies from American University and a BS in Linguistics and Spanish from Georgetown University. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
