Child Health & Safety
EDC helps community, state, federal, and private partners ensure children and youth thrive through technical assistance, research, and resources.
For decades, we have strengthened public health and education systems to improve child health and safety. Drawing on data-driven strategies and evidence-based practices, we provide professionals with the tools and support they need to promote the healthy development of all infants, children, and youth. We also build capacity to use data to rapidly develop and implement improvements that lead to sustainable change.
Through initiatives such as the Children’s Safety Network, the Collaborative for Advancing Healthy Experiences in Out-of-School Time, the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety, and the MetroWest Digital Wellness Collaborative, we build capacity to prevent chronic disease, enhance health, prevent injuries, foster wellbeing, and support school readiness and success.
Our Education & Well-being initiative works to ensure all students receive high-quality academic instruction and behavioral health services in safe environments. Drawing on an effective multi-tiered systems approach, we tailor our support to meet each client’s needs.
