Middle East
EDC strengthens education systems and creates economic opportunities for youth in the Middle East by enhancing teacher development and skills.

Overview
EDC works to build teacher capacity and professionalism to ensure all students have access to high-quality education. Our initiatives include drafting technology implementation plans for ministries of education, leading efforts to rebuild schools in disrepair, and enhancing teacher preparation at public universities.
Through vocational training, career counseling, and our Work Ready Now (WRN) curriculum, EDC equips youth with market-aligned skills and supports their access to viable employment opportunities. Additionally, through the Global Observations to Benefit the Environment Program (GLOBE), we help teachers and students engage in environmental data collection and scientific research, fostering scientific literacy and citizen science in 13 countries across the region.
