Ben Chauncey, Senior Financial Director for EDC’s Program Division, is an experienced nonprofit fiscal leader specializing in business metrics, strategic and sustainability planning, and nonprofit management. He leads a large team that proactively addresses the fiscal operations and development needs of EDC’s researchers, instructional designers, and training and technical assistance specialists. Drawing on his extensive expertise in financial analysis, he designs and oversees systems that ensure the efficiency and success of program and business development teams.

As a long-standing member of the Program Division’s Leadership Team, Ben co-develops organizational systems and supports to improve efficiency and works closely with the Program Area Director to maintain a solid fiscal infrastructure. Chauncey also works closely with colleagues in EDC’s Office of Sponsored Programs to advance company-wide goals to systematize data-driven decision-making.

Earlier in Ben’s career at EDC, he conducted quantitative and qualitative research on early education partnerships. He is the co-author of an article published in the International Journal of Economic Development and several reports.

Ben completed graduate work in Biostatistics at Harvard University, where he also received an AB in Biology with electives in Psychology and Economics.
