Rachel Pascale, EDC project director, is an expert in training and instructional design, strategic communications, product development, and technical assistance (TA). Her professional passion lies in understanding the intersection of pressing public health problems to craft effective solutions. Her learning experiences and resources advance initiatives focused on maternal and child health, home visiting, early childhood, and behavioral health promotion.

As deputy contract director for Safeguard Veterans, Rachel provides oversight and program design support to a team providing TA and evaluating community-based Veteran suicide prevention efforts in six pilot sites. As a Strategic Prevention TA Center training and TA specialist, she designs and facilitates trainings for the substance misuse prevention workforce and provides consultation support to state prevention staff in New England. As advisor for the MIECHV TA Resource Center, Rachel provides oversight to facilitate the development of videos, podcasts, tools, and engaging virtual learning opportunities.

Rachel has blogged for CASEL and has written about teachers’ mental health, substance misuse, and mental wellness for EDC.

Rachel holds a BA in American Studies from Dickinson College and received her PMD Pro Certification in project management from APMG International.
