Andresse St. Rose is Co-Lead of EDC’s Learn Transformation Area growth strategy and a national expert in education policy, education reform, systems change, and STEM education. As director of educational research and evaluation, she leads initiatives to advance the use of data—rigorous applied research and evaluation, continuous improvement, and knowledge mobilization—to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of education systems and out-of-school learning environments.
Andresse leads and oversees research and evaluation that directly addresses educators’ pressing problems of practice and produces credible and actionable findings to guide needed changes. Her work focuses on identifying and disseminating strategies to propel systemic K–12 education reform, to ensure outstanding student achievement, and to pave the way to future career success.
Before joining EDC, Andresse served as managing director for the Center for Collaborative Education. Her widely cited report Why So Few? Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math received broad media coverage.
Andresse holds an EdD in Education Policy from George Washington University, an MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, and a BS in Biology from Hamilton College.
