Suicide, Addictions, & Violence Prevention

EDC builds capacity to improve prevention services and promote wellness. Our efforts rely on data-driven strategies, continuous improvement, and prevention science to create lasting change in the lives of individuals and communities.

Across the U.S. and around the world, we strengthen systems and build capacity to transform behavioral health. For decades, we have taken the available evidence and developed impactful approaches that address urgent challenges, make critical information widely available, and significantly improve outcomes.

Today, with the support of public and private partners, we lead and co-lead innovative and impactful behavioral health work, including the Zero Suicide Institute, VetChange, Digital Wellness Collaborative, Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center, National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, and Children’s Safety Network.

Our deep bench of behavioral health subject matter experts also tackle emerging issues such as rural behavioral health innovation, youth and adult problem gambling, and co-occurring challenges with substance misuse and mental health.

Our experts serve as trusted behavioral health policy advisors; systems change coaches; and evaluation, instructional design, and program development and implementation partners.
