Allison Parish
Allison Parish, a national expert in home visiting, early childhood systems, and mental health, is passionate about improving services and policies to enhance outcomes for children and families.
Allison leads EDC’s Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Technical Assistance Resource Center, which builds home visiting programs’ capacity to improve services for families nationwide. She has also served as an advisor to EDC’s Home Visiting Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network.
Allison co-authored the articles “Statewide Implementation of Virtual Perinatal Home Visiting During COVID-19” (Maternal and Child Health Journal) and “Improving Intimate Partner Violence Services in Home Visiting” (Journal of Social Service Research). She also co-authored “Assessment and Program Planning” (Chapter 18) in Kotch’s Maternal and Child Health: Problems, Programs, and Policy in Public Health.
Recently, Allison shared her insights in an article on “The Power and Potential of Home Visiting” and blogged on the topic of paternal depression. She regularly presents at maternal child health-focused convenings, including MIECHV All-Grantee Meetings.
Prior to joining EDC, Allison was the Florida MIECHV director and chief program officer for multiple home visiting programs and the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems grant. She also worked for Florida’s Healthy Families America state system.
Allison holds an EdS in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling, an MS in Counseling and Human Systems, and a BA in Psychology from Florida State University. She is endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Mentor in Policy.
