Celebrating Home Visitors: National Home Visiting Week

In 2023, the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program reached all 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and five U.S. territories. MIECHV home visitors served over 139,000 parents and children, approximately 70,000 families, and provided over 919,000 home visits.

Yet the impact of home visiting goes far beyond the numbers. Home visiting:

  • Strengthens pregnant women’s and families’ well-being
  • Supports infants and children’s healthy development
  • Builds lasting trust in communities and systems

At EDC, we are deeply honored to partner with the home visiting field. We recognize and appreciate the expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment that home visitors, supervisors, and state leaders bring to this work every single day.

We hope that you enjoy this brief video that we created in honor of home visitors for the first annual National Home Visiting Week, April 21–25, 2025.
