
J. Eric Wright
Co-Founder and Partner, Vibranium Capital Group
J. Eric Wright has lived in Africa for over 25 years, bringing extensive experience as a banker, investor, entrepreneur, and advisor across more than 30 African countries.
He is the co-founder of Vibranium Capital Group, a private investment firm investing in the United States and Africa. Previously, J. Eric founded Africa Venture Partners, a pan-African investment firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was also one of the founding executives of Citigroup South Africa, where he led private equity and venture capital investments.
J. Eric has co-founded several successful ventures, including Accelon, a West African satellite broadband operator (later acquired by Internet Solutions/Dimension Data); TowerShare, a Dubai-based wireless tower company operating in the Middle East and South Asia; and Gold Coast Securities, an investment bank headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Early in his career, J. Eric worked in corporate finance, M&A, and management consulting for Union Bank, Security Pacific Merchant Bank, and PwC.
J. Eric has been a member of the investment committees for various private investment vehicles. He currently serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including AfrikaTikkun USA and the Elmwood Institute, as well as on the boards of multiple private companies. In addition to his entrepreneurial efforts, Eric founded the Africa MBA Indaba and the STEM Career Expo, furthering education and career opportunities across the continent.
J. Eric has a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
