Alessia Garcia is a content strategist and producer in the Office of Communications, where she translates technical research into engaging digital content and leads multi-channel storytelling to enhance impact. With over five years of experience in digital communications and content strategy, she leverages social media to build community and influence public dialogue.

Before joining EDC, Garcia was a strategist at Purpose, where she developed campaigns and strategies for clients, including Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Prior to that, she worked on data visualization at Hawkfish, Mike Bloomberg’s political tech start-up company, and in communications for the American Red Cross and the Office of Congressman Brad Schneider.

Garcia holds a BSc in Media, Culture, and Communication and a minor in Political Science from New York University. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
