Alice Kaiser, EDC research associate, brings expertise in quantitative and qualitative research including site observations, coding data, and interviews. She is interested in advancing knowledge of effective strategies to support young children’s developmentally appropriate use of technology in the classroom and at home to boost their school readiness and success.

Currently, Kaiser is advancing the goals of EDC’s evaluations of Ready To Learn and Mission US. She shares her findings at national research conferences and practitioner convenings. She is a co-author of the recent article, “Teacher Practices for Formatively Assessing Computational Thinking with Early Elementary Learners.”

Before joining EDC, Kaiser worked at The School at Columbia University as an after-school teacher, as well as an assistant to the Child Study Team. She also served as a consultant for Acelero Learning, conducting an annual assessment of Head Start programs.

Kaiser holds a BA in Russian Studies from Willamette University.
