Alisha Keirstead

Alisha Keirstead is the director of EDC’s Global Health Team, where she provides leadership, technical support, and quality assurance for EDC’s international health programs. She oversees the organization’s work focused on adolescent health, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) programs, and health and social welfare system strengthening. She provides additional leadership for EDC’s cross-sectoral global initiatives in mental health and psychosocial support, child welfare, and social protection.

Under Keirstead’s leadership, EDC has established innovative and effective models for OVC case management and digital data management systems for family-centered OVC care. She has also developed and supported EDC’s health programs in multiple countries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda, and Zambia.

Keirstead holds a Master of Public Health in International Health from Oregon State University and speaks English and French.
