Amy West is an international humanitarian and development practitioner with expertise in education and livelihoods protection and youth development. She has worked extensively with refugee and internally displaced populations in regions such as the African Great Lakes, Caucasus, Western Sahara, Sahel, and Middle East. She has also advised on girls’ education and gender-based violence programming globally. 

As a senior international technical advisor for youth and communications at EDC, West supports youth and workforce development. She provides strategic leadership in youth, gender and social inclusion, and conflict, crisis, and violence programming. She leads communications and marketing, qualitative research, and business development for youth and international programs. 

West holds a Master’s Degree in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School, Tufts University, and is fluent in French and English.
