Amy Willsey
Vice President
Amy Willsey, EDC Vice President and Director of New Business Development, leads the strategic analysis, pursuit, and acquisition of grants and contracts. Drawing on over 30 years of fundraising and leadership experience, she guides teams in successfully securing federal and private sector funding to advance EDC’s mission. As a key member of the Growth + Partnerships Leadership Team, she co-designs EDC’s business development strategy, tracks progress in reaching key targets, and identifies opportunities to strengthen education, health, and workforce development systems.
Amy leads EDC’s pursuit of domestic and international grants and contracts in collaboration with Strategy Directors and supported by EDC’s Business Development Team. She oversees the capture process, advises teams throughout the Program Division, and advances initiatives focused on building business development capacity. To all of her work, she brings her extensive subject matter knowledge of education, health, emergency relief, and rehabilitation trends.
Previously, Amy served as EDC’s Director of International Business Development. In this capacity, she headed up a team of specialists that pursued partnerships and business opportunities that significantly expanded EDC’s work in countries around the world. Prior to joining EDC, she was the Director of Program Development for the International Youth Foundation, where she focused on projects that supported improvements in education, employability, health, and citizenship around the globe.
Amy holds an MA in International Relations from Boston University.
