Beth Chalmers is EDC’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. A strategic financial leader with more than 20 years of progressive nonprofit finance experience, Beth partners with EDC’s CEO, Board of Trustees, and senior leadership to shape the organization’s long-term financial strategy and sustainability. She leads EDC’s Finance and Accounting Department, with oversight of accounting operations, budgeting and financial analysis, audit, and corporate compliance across EDC’s global portfolio of programs.

Beth has expertise in financial strategy and planning, grants and compliance management, board and audit committee partnership, enterprise risk management, and financial systems modernization. Before joining EDC, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Artspace Projects, the nation’s leading nonprofit real estate developer for the arts, where she led finance, human resources, and information technology for a complex multi-entity organization. Earlier, she was Director of Finance at People Serving People, Minnesota’s largest emergency shelter for families, and Controller at Twin Cities Housing Development Corporation. Beth began her career in audit at KPMG and held internal audit and compensation roles at Jostens, US Bancorp, and Thomson Reuters. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College.
