Carrie Stout
Carrie Stout is an International Project Associate for EDC who brings 18 years of experience in international education, strengthening educational systems, early grade reading instruction, curriculum design, and project management.
Carrie is currently supporting the Learning Generation Initiative (LGI). Prior to her work with LGI, she worked on USAID Mali Doniya Taabolo and Mali Food for Education. She also advanced the goals of the Leading Through Learning Global Platform Project, working specifically with the Global Reading Network, where she played a key role in network engagement, management, and procurement.
Prior to joining EDC, Carrie was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia and an international teacher in Haiti and Mali; she also worked for a nonprofit organization.
Carrie holds a BA in International Relations with a focus on Development and Africa and a minor in Economics from American University. She also holds an MAT from The College of New Jersey in Elementary Education. She is currently pursuing her EdD at the University of Florida. She is proficient in Spanish and French.
