Cassie Wright is an EDC operations director and an experienced leader in nonprofit management. She brings over 15 years of experience leading programs and operations for nonprofit and government partners in housing and education sectors. She has expertise in program leadership, strategic planning, financial management, service delivery quality, and partnership management.

Wright is part of the leadership team for the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, the nation’s only federally supported resource center devoted to advancing the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. Beyond EDC, she serves on the MPA Advisory Board and as a capstone evaluator for the University of Nebraska at Omaha-School of Public Administration.

Before joining EDC, Wright led programs for a local foundation, and prior to that, she developed the education strategy for the Chicago Housing Authority. Her work at the Chicago Housing Authority was recognized across housing and education sectors for innovation in increasing academic achievement for youth and adults living in public housing.

Wright holds an MPA from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned her BA in Communications from DePaul University.
