Christina Pease is a practicing general pediatrician who is dedicated to supporting children and their families who face the greatest barriers. She is committed to bridging early education and health systems to better serve families and ensure children are ready for kindergarten. She is a certified Autism Center of Excellence Provider dedicated to the early recognition and support of children with autism.
Pease is the medical advisor for EDC’s National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety (NCHBHS), which supports Head Start programs nationwide. She leads NCHBHS’s Health Expert Work Group, which delivers webinars and other health-related resources to support programs and families.
Beyond EDC, Pease works at a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Seattle, Washington, serving children and families who have recently immigrated from Latin America. She has spearheaded an Early Childhood Support Program in her clinic that relies on bilingual, bicultural navigators as an integral part of the medical team.
Pease holds an MD from Baylor College of Medicine and a BA from Middlebury College. She is fluent in Spanish and French.
