Eileen Caruso
Eileen Caruso is an EDC Managing Program Director and a nonprofit leader with more than 25 years of experience strengthening organizational systems, financial stewardship, and employee experience. Her work focuses on building resilient, high-performing organizations that can sustain impact at scale.
Eileen has led strategic and sustainability planning, strengthened management and compliance systems, and advanced funder relations and business development across portfolios. She brings a deep commitment to aligning operational excellence with mission-driven goals while fostering positive, productive work environments.
Drawing on quality improvement approaches, Eileen provides post-award consultation and support that advances EDC project directors’ efforts to achieve milestones, maintain sound project health, and navigate evolving funder requirements. As a member of the Program Leadership Team, she co-develops and implements systems and supports that enhance effectiveness.
Previously, Eileen served as a Business Development Strategy Lead and as Portfolio Director for EDC’s U.S.-based early childhood initiatives. She is also an accomplished trainer and change management coach. Before joining EDC, she held senior finance and administration roles at Interaction Institute for Social Change and the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
Eileen holds an MEd from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
