Heidi J. Larson, a digital education specialist and senior manager, leads and co-leads initiatives that build capacity to improve learning throughout the lifespan. She specializes in educational technology, training and technical assistance, instructional design, product development, networking and collaboration, professional development, and communications strategy. She also investigates and advances knowledge of the educational uses of augmented reality.

Larson provides digital learning expertise to initiatives across EDC. She leads the Adult Education Professional Development Communication Center for Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and advances outreach and collaboration efforts for REL Northeast & Islands at EDC.

Recently, Larson co-authored Five Steps for Using Social Media to Build Your Brand and Promote Your Business. She led EDC’s provision of education technology support to Investing in Innovation and Teacher Incentive Fund grantees and contributed her social media and management expertise to Building Social Media and Social Technology Enabled Professional.

Larson holds an MEd in Technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Certificate in Web Technologies from WPI, and a BA from Colby College.
