Jo Mushitu, a Congolese medical doctor and public health professional, has over 15 years’ experience in public health and HIV/AIDS, as well as extensive knowledge of the management of HIV projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He brings a wide range of technical skills and experience to his work, with a focus on HIV prevention, care, and treatment; orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) programming; TB/HIV integration; malaria; family planning; maternal-child health integration; and sexual and gender-based violence prevention. He currently serves as chief of party of EDC’s ELIKIA OVC project in the DRC.
Mushitu’s experience working with other international organizations includes the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, GIZ, and local nongovernmental organizations. He has also been involved in public health qualitative and quantitative research.
Jo Mushitu received his Medical Degree from the University of Kinshasa (DRC) and has a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
