Kristen Bjork, an instructional design expert and senior manager, creates authentic, engaging, and innovative learning experiences for students of all ages and backgrounds. She has deep expertise in K–12 education, STEM, technology integration, product development, and R&D.

Bjork leads content development for the Amgen Biotech Experience, an innovative science education program that has reached 700,000 students. For a decade, she has led EDC’s work as instructional design partner for SAE International’s award-winning A World In Motion® program. She also led the design of many SAE curricula, including Gravity Cruiser, the five challenges in SAE’s K–3 curriculum, an in-press pre-K curriculum, and middle school information technology challenges.

All of Bjork’s curricula make learning exciting and rigorous. Recent resources allow students to experience archaeology by exploring ancient Nubia, investigate earth science by examining the Antarctic, understand health advocacy through award-winning photographs of people struggling with multi-drug-resistant TB, and examine the science of sustainability.

Bjork was a research technician in a biotechnology firm before she joined EDC. She holds an AB in Biology from Dartmouth College.
