Lauren Klein
Lauren Klein is the director of EDC’s Office of Communications. In this role, she works closely with EDC’s senior leadership team to articulate, amplify, and demonstrate the impact of EDC’s programs and research.
Throughout her career, Lauren has worked at the intersection of stakeholder engagement, policy, and digital marketing to build purpose-driven campaigns, programs, and brands that advance solutions to complex social challenges.
Prior to joining EDC, Lauren led strategic communications and marketing for the New York City Mayor’s Office of Sustainability. Before that she was a vice president for Weber Shandwick, a global strategic communications firm, where she conceived and executed content marketing campaigns with a focus on corporate social responsibility strategy for Fortune 500, nonprofit, and government clients. Her award-winning work has been recognized by Cannes CyberLion, Communications Art Awards, and Webby Awards.
Lauren holds a Master’s of International Affairs from Columbia University and a BA from Mount Holyoke College.
