Lauri Solomon, public health expert, is an experienced prevention specialist and behavioral health contract manager. She is committed to advancing efforts to improve health and well-being. For over 20 years, she has provided training and technical assistance on substance misuse and other key public health issues. She has expertise in community needs assessments, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, program evaluation, social marketing, parent education, and positive youth development models.

Solomon advances the goals of several EDC initiatives to improve the quality of health care. Recently, she provided support to the Center for Strategic Prevention Support.

Before joining EDC, Solomon was an emergency preparedness planner and a consultant to public health initiatives. She also served as a grant and program manager for the Washington State Department of Health and the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

Solomon holds an EdD and an MEd from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She received a BA in Public Health and Psychology from Evergreen State College.
