Rashanda Jenkins

Rashanda Jenkins, EDC senior training and technical assistance (TTA) associate, has over 14 years of experience in family engagement and building the capacity of early childhood programs to fully meet the health, behavioral health, and academic needs of young children. She specializes in supporting programs in providing high-quality health and mental health program services, ensuring safe and healthy learning environments for children, building organizational capacity and management systems, and enforcing ongoing monitoring and quality improvement systems.

Jenkins provides highly effective TTA that advances the goals of the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety. Her TTA focuses on maternal health, emergency preparedness response and recovery, child health, early childhood health and safety practices, and health management systems.

Before joining EDC, Jenkins served as a Head Start program health and nutrition coordinator, Early Head Start home-based supervisor, Early Head Start childcare partnership director, and health specialist.

Jenkins is a graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Head Start Management Fellows Program at the University of California-Anderson School of Business. She holds an MSW from Howard University.
