Ruthann Froberg
Ruthann Froberg, EDC research associate, specializes in gerontological studies, data analysis, and project management. Her primary areas of focus include improving quality of life for older adults, age-friendly care, and elder mistreatment prevention.
Froberg is a key member of EDC’s National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment team. A published author, her work appears in journals such as Academic Emergency Medicine, Health Policy and Economics, Innovation in Aging, and International Journal of Psychiatry in Medicine. She is a regular presenter at the Gerontological Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting.
Before joining EDC, Froberg consulted with organizations in the areas of elder justice, tax, housing, and caregiving issues. She also worked for several years as a tax and operations manager for a CPA, specifically working with small business and older adult tax clients.
Froberg is pursuing a PhD in Human Development at Virginia Tech. She holds an MPA and Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky, as well as a BS in Chemistry and Public Health from Emory & Henry University.
