Sharon Terreault
Sharon Terreault, senior training and technical assistance associate, is an expert in early childhood education improvement. She brings 37 years of experience in the field of education to her work at EDC. For 29 years, she has led the improvement of nonprofit programs that serve children ages birth to six and their families. She specializes in infant toddler programming, services to support infant toddler mental health, and effective strategies to address disabilities within the early intervention, Early Head Start, and early care and education systems. She also brings expertise in effective program administration and family engagement.
Sharon is a key member of EDC’s Center for Early Learning Professionals team. She provides technical assistance support that helps Rhode Island licensed early care and education programs and family child care providers strengthen their services for children and families. She also designs and delivers high-quality professional development for early childhood educators focused on infant and toddler development, infant mental health, family engagement, inclusion, and program administration.
Sharon holds an MSEd from Arkansas State University and a BS from the University of Rhode Island. She is a Rhode Island-certified Prekindergarten–Grade 6 teacher.
