Suzanne Sevegny, an EDC training and technical assistance associate, has over two decades of experience in child development, early childhood education, curriculum development, and coaching. She brings extensive expertise in the design and facilitation of professional development for early childhood teachers, with a specialization in early language and literacy development, social and emotional learning, and classroom management.

As a member of EDC’s Rhode Island Center for Early Learning Professionals team, Sevegny provides professional development and targeted technical assistance to support Rhode Island pre-K program administrators and staff in using continuous quality improvement to enhance children’s early learning and school readiness. She also coaches classroom teachers in promoting positive interactions, instruction, and assessment practices.

Before joining EDC, Sevegny provided professional development and early literacy coaching to early childhood teachers throughout Rhode Island. She is certified by the state of Rhode Island as a pre-K–2 teacher.

Sevegny holds a BA in Psychology from St. Anselm College, a BS in Early Childhood from RI College, and an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Portland.
