Terri Longworth, an EDC training and technical assistance (TA) associate, is an expert in early education and a highly skilled trainer, consultant, and coach. She brings over 20 years of experience, including extensive expertise supporting continuous improvement of Head Start and state pre-K programs. A certified early childhood teacher (pre-K–2), she is deeply dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families.

Longworth is a key member of EDC’s Rhode Island Center for Early Learning Professionals team. She provides TA to Rhode Island pre-K programs, leads curriculum study groups, facilitates professional development, and supports a local education agency in implementing a new curriculum. She also heads up a community of practice focused on language and literacy outcomes for young children and serves as a coach/mentor for numerous initiatives.

Before joining EDC, Longworth was the child-care administrator for Mount Hope Childcare Center. Earlier in her career, she served as a child-care program executive director, Head Start site manager, and consultant.

Longworth holds a BS in Human Science and Services from the University of Rhode Island.
