Sonia Chang
Sonia Chang is an EDC project coordinator and public health researcher. She brings expertise in quantitative and qualitative research, data collection, data analysis, data visualization, outreach and engagement, and health communications.
As a key member of EDC’s Maternal Health & Home Visiting team, Chang is supporting work with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to design a community birth strategy and build a strong doula workforce.
Prior to joining EDC, as a family visiting consultant, Chang evaluated home visiting programs for the Rhode Island Department of Health. While attending Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, she led the planning and implementation phases of a National Institutes of Health-funded research project focusing on a postpartum home visiting intervention for high-risk women.
Chang holds an MS in Global Health and Population Studies from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she was awarded the 2023-2024 Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health Leadership Lab Fellowship. She attained a BA in Human Health from Emory University. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
