EDC Researchers to Present at AERA Annual Meeting

WALTHAM, MA | EDC researchers will present new education findings at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), which is marking its 100th year. This year’s meeting—“Public Scholarship to Educate Diverse Democracies”—will be held in Washington D.C., April 8–12. It is the largest gathering of education researchers in the country and is known for highlighting topical research that often shapes education policy and practice.

This year, EDC staff will present on a variety of topics, including sustaining strong researcher-practitioner partnerships, improving early mathematics learning and school readiness, fostering students’ data literacy and skills, and using puzzles to promote mathematics proficiency.

EDC will also lead a symposium on lessons learned from a randomized controlled trial of EDC’s and Bank Street’s Math for All professional development program and, during two symposia, EDC Vice President Shelley Pasnik will share findings from five years of studying the Ready To Learn Initiative for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and PBS.
