Eileen Caruso, the leader of EDC’s portfolio of domestic early childhood initiatives, is highly experienced in nonprofit management and fiscal operations. She brings strategic business experience in support of sustainability planning, business development, networking building, and quality improvement.
Caruso guides teams engaged in innovative and impactful work focused on improving child outcomes through home visiting, family engagement, partnerships (First 10), early STEM learning, and evaluation and research and by employing continuous quality improvement to validate progress and outcomes. An acclaimed trainer and coach, she has provided consultation on effective fiscal and business practices to the National Center for Early Childhood Quality Assurance, Center for Early Learning Professionals, and Head Start’s National Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations.
Before joining EDC, Caruso was the director of finance and administration for Interaction Institute for Social Change. She also served as the associate managing director for finance and administration for the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
Caruso holds an MEd from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
