Joshua Cox is an experienced researcher, evaluator, and project manager. He has extensive expertise in quantitative and qualitative research, including using traditional tools (e.g., SPSS, ATLAS.ti) as well as programming languages (e.g., Python) to mine and make sense of large data sets to support data-driven decision-making in educational research.

Cox currently advances multiple initiatives at EDC, including REL Northeast & Islands at EDC and evaluations of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program and the Army Educational Outreach Program.

Cox has presented his findings at national conferences, including those hosted by the American Evaluation Association, the American Educational Research Association, and the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness. He has co-authored a review of instruments, a toolkit on coaching best practices, and a survey guide published by the Institute of Education Sciences. His work appears in Education Policy Analysis and AERA Open.

Cox holds an MA in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and a BA in Economics from Knox College. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in computer science at the University of Chicago.
