Kate Goddard is an experienced project leader, training and technical assistance (T/TA) specialist, and instructional designer. She develops, oversees, and advances programs that improve the quality and equity of out-of-school time (OST) learning. Building on her experiences as an afterschool practitioner, she puts youth development at the center of all of her work. She brings extensive expertise in strengthening and supporting the out-of-school time workforce.

Goddard leads the national Collaborative for Advancing Health Equity in Out-of-School Time. She is the associate director of T/TA and a regional T/TA liaison for the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment. Previously, she advanced the mission of Adobe Foundation’s philanthropic initiative Adobe Youth Voices by building the capacity of educators around the globe to implement youth media programming.

Goddard has blogged about the importance of media literacy and afterschool programs. Earlier in her career, she facilitated creative OST learning experiences at Phillips Community TV, the Science Museum of Minnesota, Denver Open Media, and Girls Inc. of Metro Denver.

Goddard holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
