Noah Goodman’s expertise in design-based research and evaluation advances the development and improvement of programs, tools, and materials that enhance learning in diverse settings. He is particularly interested in inquiry and evidence-based argumentation and in helping students develop approaches they can use to investigate and learn from their social world.
Goodman co-leads EDC’s research collaboration with the Library of Congress and has authored related publications on developing surveys, primary source inquiry kits, and promoting student learning through historical inquiry. He contributed to the content development and dashboard design of EDC’s Zoom In to U.S. History and runs EDC’s TV411 website. Recently, he conducted groundbreaking research on data dashboards, formative assessment, and digital games.
Goodman holds an MS in Childhood Bilingual Education from Hunter College.
