Kate Anderson is an educational leader and instructional design expert. She specializes in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, standards-based professional development to support English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) instruction, program development, and continuous quality improvement. She has extensive experience in project and program management.
As the assistant director of the SABES ESOL Curriculum and Instruction Professional Development Center at EDC, Anderson advances the center’s goal to prepare adult education instructors to support English learners’ college and workforce success. She works with subject matter experts from across the country to design, develop, and deliver professional development for nearly 100 adult education programs and hundreds of ESOL instructors across Massachusetts.
Anderson presents on online, blended, and remote instruction at the state and national levels. Over the past 15 years, her work in adult education has included advising, community planning, workplace education, and program leadership.
Anderson earned an MEd in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and a graduate certificate in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
