Asiya Foster is a national and international expert in early childhood policy and programming. A skilled advisor and practitioner, she brings over 20 years of experience in early childhood systems change, strategic planning, advocacy, teacher training, and curriculum development.
As a senior training and technical assistance (TTA) associate for EDC’s First 10 initiative, Foster collaborates with states and communities to implement the First 10 model to establish high-quality, cohesive educational, parenting, and community supports. Beyond EDC, she is the chief innovations officer for EarlystART.
Previously, Foster was an education consultant in the United States and abroad, an early childhood education faculty member and a program leader. She is currently the vice president of North America and the Caribbean for OMEP.
Foster is a former Fulbright Senior Scholar. She holds an EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri–Columbia, an MA in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and an ALM in Global Development Practice from Harvard University. She also holds a BA in Child and Family Studies from Park University.
