Wael Zaraket, project manager for the Higher Education Capacity Development (HECD) project, has over 12 years of experience in higher education and human capital development. As a senior member for the USAID/Lebanon HECD project management team, Zaraket is well versed in EDC’s successfully proven project management systems and approaches. He has experience managing project performance metrics and leading human resources transformation projects.
Zaraket is responsible for in-country project management and administrative oversight of project activities. Additionally, he is the senior organizational development specialist responsible for the design, implementation, and quality assurance of the capacity-building activities of higher education institutions (HEIs).
Previously, Zaraket worked for Deloitte and Touché covering an array of HEIs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, working in the human capital and higher education service line. Projects focused on the development of academic institutions and matching them to contemporary business practices.
Zaraket holds a Doctorate of Business Administration in Human Resources and Leadership from SBS Swiss Business School in Switzerland and an MBA in Strategic Management from Davenport University in Michigan.
