Mingyue Sun, research associate, is passionate about promoting learning and positive development for children and youth in formal and informal settings. She brings expertise in developmental sciences, learning sciences, workforce development, and instructional design. Her current research focuses on play-based learning, media, technology, intergenerational learning, and family engagement.
Sun is experienced with qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis, formative evaluation, and instrument design. Currently, she conducts research on Ready to Learn.
Prior to joining EDC, Sun worked at Project Zero’s Next Level Lab at Harvard University, where she participated in studies involving cognitive and learning sciences, virtual reality, and workforce development, and she co-authored an article in Education and Information Technologies. Additionally, Sun has designed and taught classes on adolescent development and transition to adulthood at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Sun holds an EdM in Human Development and Education from Harvard University and a BA in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College. She is fluent in English and Chinese.
