Amy Huffer is an infant and early childhood mental health expert. She brings expertise in implementing evidence-based interventions, building reflective capacity, and providing training and technical assistance (TA) that helps programs enhance how they address the needs of infants, toddlers, and their families. She is driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to quality support and resources, and she strives to create meaningful change through relationships.
Huffer is the director of EDC’s Jackie Walorski Center for Evidence-Based Case Management housed within the Institute for Home Visiting Workforce Development. She leads efforts to advance the provision of case management inside home visitation models and provide TA to Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) awardees. She also advances the work of EDC’s MIECHV Innovation Technical Assistance Center.
Previously, Huffer led initiatives to build the workforce necessary for evidence-based case management and clinical intervention, helping families address potential challenges early on.
Huffer holds a PhD in Human Sciences from Oklahoma State University and an MSW and a BA in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
