Jennifer Kennedy, EDC project director, currently manages the Teacher Excellence Initiative in Egypt. She is an experienced mathematics educator who designs and implements technology-based mathematics programs in low-resource environments. As a member of the EDC International Development Division’s Operations team, she is always ready to join any new project start-up.

Kennedy’s extensive classroom teaching experience includes tenures in New York City and rural Malawi. Since joining EDC, she has supported and managed education efforts in Zambia, South Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Uganda. She also collaborated on a set of training modules for the Global Book Alliance in Action to improve book supply chains, and she developed interactive radio instruction materials for educators in Malawi and Zambia.

Kennedy holds an MA in Mathematics Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MA in International Development from the University of Denver. She served in the Peace Corps and is proficient in French, ChiTumbuka, and ChiChewa.
