Paloma Fana is an EDC bilingual training and technical assistance (TTA) associate and specialist in early childhood education and early intervention. Her areas of expertise include family services and community resources, infant-toddler disabilities, early childhood program monitoring and improvement, and prevention of child maltreatment.

Fana advances the goals of EDC’s Rhode Island Center for Early Learning Professionals. Her work focuses on providing high-quality professional development and support to early childhood educators and programs across the state.

Prior to joining EDC, Fana worked as a child protective investigator and human services policy and systems specialist within the Child Care Licensing Unit for the state of Rhode Island. Fana also has research experience with a focus on childhood maltreatment and pediatric screenings developmental concerns. She is the co-author of an article published in Development and Psychopathology.

Fana holds a BS in Communicative Disorders from the University of Rhode Island.
