As brand director in EDC’s Office of Communications, Ricky Altizer serves as a facilitator, designer, and creative lead helping to define, execute, and evolve EDC’s organizational identity across communication channels. He designs and produces innovative visuals to create a compelling, cohesive brand story that advances EDC’s mission and goals.

Most recently, Altizer was a senior designer at Purpose, where he created brands, digital campaigns, and UI/UX projects for partners, including Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, New York Road Runners, and the New York City Mayor’s Office of Sustainability. Before that, he was a designer at Studio A, where he designed brands, publications, and exhibits, serving clients such as the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the National Gallery of Art. His work has been published in Communication Arts and recognized in the HOW International Design Awards, and the Anthem Awards.

Altizer holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design at the George Washington University.
