In an op-ed, EDC’s Julie Goldstein Grumet and Heidi Kar discuss how to address the suicide crisis facing police officers nationally. The authors argue “to save the lives of those who are responsible for saving our lives, we must create spaces for police officers to talk openly about suicide.”

Suicide is not just a problem for officers who defended the Capitol. It’s a crisis for all police.
