Adverse Childhood Experiences and School Readiness

A new study led by EDC’s Akira Gutierrez Renzulli reveals that high adverse childhood experiences are more linked to disruptive and internalizing behaviors than academic preparedness. The findings point to a need for greater awareness of mental health issues and suicide prevention support for young children and their families, particularly those in vulnerable populations.
