With help from EDC’s Center for Children and Technology, the New York Philharmonic has launched Young People’s Concerts Play!, a new website with on-demand streaming of concerts enhanced by interactive lessons for classrooms.
As part of national efforts to align public and private suicide prevention initiatives, EDC’s Jerry Reed recently moderated a panel on suicide prevention and care.
Eight young women, participants in the USAID Liberia Advancing Youth Project run by EDC, were in Washington, D.C., last week as guests of First Lady Michelle Obama. Their visit was part of Let Girls Learn, a U.S. government global education initiative.
EDC is working with the government of South Africa to lead a new program to prevent new HIV infections among young people, support students already infected with HIV, and reduce the high rate of teen pregnancy.
